Job Summary
Assist students in the virtual learning environment and support blended learning according to daily lesson plans. Manage student learning and classroom support for Distance Learning Teacher; collaborate with Distance Learning Teachers weekly; take daily attendance; provide accommodations; complete required documentation; work with small groups or individuals; assist with technology functions/issues; maintain confidentiality; perform other duties as assigned; train students on technology; set up Distance Learning platforms; communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
Required Qualifications
- HQ requirement by possessing one of the following or be able to obtain HQ status within the first year: An associate’s degree, At least 48 semester hours of college coursework, or A passing score on a locally approved assessment
- Must be highly qualified as an Instructional Assistant according to Texas Education Agency guidelines.
- Possesses good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to seamlessly use a variety of instructional technologies in a competent way that advances student learning.
