Job Summary
Assist the building principal in improving student achievement through application of innovative behavioral and educational practices, including positive behavioral supports, classroom management and differentiated instruction. Lead development and implementation of school-wide and classroom-specific behavioral supports and interventions, ensure cultural appropriateness of strategies, collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop behavior intervention plans and reward systems, monitor RTI, and provide professional development to support behavior and instructional improvements. Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills, data collection and analysis to evaluate intervention efficacy, and ongoing commitment to high standards of professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in applicable field
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Master’s Degree or a minimum of 5 years successful classroom experience preferred
- Special Education Certification preferred
