Job Summary
Transport students to and from school and school-related events in a school bus or van. Operates bus safely and professionally, performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections, maintains required records, and follows district safety and discipline policies. Provides instruction on bus safety to students and supervises students during transport. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CDL (or Driver’s License), clean driving record, DOT physical, and current First Aid/CPR. On-call, part-time position with training beginning mid-summer; benefits eligibility after certain hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL for 1 year or Driver’s License for 3 years
- Satisfactory 5 year driving abstract
- Satisfactory DOT Physical
- Current 1st Aid/CPR card
- 21 years of age
- Satisfactory completion of SPI Bus Driver Training Course
- Must meet all current OSPI minimum qualifications for school bus drivers
