Job Summary
Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist in a school setting. Assist with implementing the occupational therapy plan of care, data collection, goal revision, and instruction of teachers, staff, and parents in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology. Responsibilities include collaborating with the occupational therapist and ARD meetings, maintaining student records and progress notes, and ensuring confidentiality while complying with applicable laws and district policies. Requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and two months of OT experience with school-age children.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in occupational therapy or equivalent
- Valid Texas license as an occupational therapy assistant issued by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (TBOTE)
