Job Summary
Special Education Teacher responsibilities include planning and delivering rigorous, standards-aligned lessons; differentiating instruction for English Learners and students with IEPs; maintaining gradebooks and communicating progress to families; collaborating with General Education and Inclusive Education teams; providing data-driven interventions; supporting inclusion models with ISTs and SDC teachers; managing IEPs and compliance documentation; and engaging in weekly coaching and professional development. Qualities include a commitment to equitable, anti-racist teaching, collaboration, data-driven instruction, and strong organizational and communication skills. The role requires CA Education Specialist Credential and a bachelor's degree, with intern credentials also considered; urban teaching experience preferred.

- Possession of EL Authorization (EL Authorization), Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate; CLAD certificate; or Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC) required.
