Job Summary
Teach developmentally appropriate high school physical education, focusing on physical literacy, fitness, teamwork, and health. Deliver standards-aligned instruction, differentiate lessons to meet diverse learners, assess student progress (formative and summative), and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support school-wide initiatives, integrate Biblical values into daily lessons, maintain a safe classroom, and communicate student progress with families. Maintain professionalism, participate in ongoing professional development, and model integrity and the school's mission. Ideal candidates will be knowledgeable in PE pedagogy, fitness concepts, and strategies to engage students across grade levels while promoting perseverance and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in physical education, kinesiology or a related field
- State teaching license preferred but not required
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to faith-based educational values
