26-27 SES Special Education Teacher (Adapted Curr)

Deliver and evaluate instruction aligned to Virginia standards for students in Special Education Adapted Curriculum; plan instructional units and activities, organize learning experiences to meet instructional goals, assess student learning with formative and summative methods, adapt plans based on data, maintain a positive learning environment, collaborate with team members, ensure student safety and proper use of facilities and equipment, utilize appropriate instructional materials and technologies, supervise students during instructional and non-instructional time, participate in department and faculty meetings, and comply with applicable policies and guidelines related to public schools. The role is a 10-month position in King George, VA, with salary scale and educational supplements outlined; requires Virginia licensure in Special Education Adapted Curriculum, and may recognize advanced degrees and certifications for additional pay.
