Job Summary
Develop a comprehensive school counseling program based on the American School Counselor National Model by creating annual student outcome goals, action plans, and assessment reports using current individual school data. Deliver developmentally appropriate activities and services directly to students or indirectly through collaboration with educators, parents, and community resources to improve student achievement, attendance, and discipline. Provide individual and group counseling for students with identified concerns while interpreting and utilizing student data to assist with academic, career, and personal/social skill development. Adhere to laws, policies, and ethical standards of the profession while participating in professional development activities and maintaining an effective referral process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's & Master's degree transcript
- 48+ hour Master's degree in Counseling from an accredited institution
- Certification in school counseling
- Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies
