Job Summary
Facilitate innovative teaching and learning experiences for CCS staff by planning, constructing, and delivering professional development opportunities that integrate technology across online, face-to-face, and WebEx formats. Coach instructional staff on personalized learning strategies, digital tools, and curriculum initiatives while modeling effective pedagogy and data analysis. Create and deploy web-based professional development materials, courses, and modules within online course management systems, ensuring compliance with NC Standards. Coordinate online registration, manage databases, and issue CEU credits, while advising staff on high-impact digital tools for content differentiation and enrichment.
Required Qualifications
- A four-year degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience/professional development instruction
- Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license
- Must possess an NC Teacher's Certification
- Possibly holds an advanced educational degree (M.Ed., M.S., Ed.S.) and or certifications in support of curriculum and/or technology integration in the core academic areas
- Must possess a working knowledge of online course management systems, database/spreadsheet management, and web design
- Three or more years of successful teaching experience
- Evidence of improving student achievement in their classroom
- Demonstrated knowledge of one or more instructional content areas
- Knowledge and use of a rich array of instructional practices/strategies
- Skills in data collection and analysis
- Interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in adult learning theory, coaching and mentoring, and in leading professional development
- Knowledge of the challenges faced by classroom teachers (time constraints, device access, etc) and the ability to plan with these challenges in mind and to problem-solve to assist teachers and principals
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, sitting, light lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion
