Job Summary
Develop motor activities based on student needs, focusing on sensory integration and gross and fine motor skills. Provide direction in screening motor needs and act as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team for students suspected of needing occupational therapy. Deliver assessment instruments to evaluate sensory and motor needs while serving as a resource to district special education staff. Attend IEP meetings as needed and communicate progress with staff and parents. Oversee the supervision of the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Perform assigned tasks by the Director of Special Services. Work 7 hours per day, 3 days per week (112 days per year) for the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
- Registered and certificated by the American Physical/Occupational Therapy Association
- At least 1-2 years experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective behavior management skills
