Job Summary
Plan and deliver rigorous math instruction for 6th through 8th graders while assessing for mastery and tracking scholar progress. Intervene and pivot instruction as necessary to ensure 100% of scholars meet projected growth goals and achieve 1.5 years of growth for those not performing on grade level. Maintain 95% average daily attendance and drive 90% academic persistence through data-driven assessment and accountability. Support scholars in mastering both academic and social skills within a caring environment at the Higher Institute of Arts and Technology in Merrillville, IN.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for working with students and families in under-served communities
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with appropriate endorsements, if applicable
- Valid State Teacher License or enrolled in a credentialing program
- Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment
- Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
