Job Summary
Coordinate the middle school boys soccer program in compliance with MSHSAA standards, assisting in supervision of students at practices and contests. Organize and schedule practice sessions to develop student-athlete potential while emphasizing safety precautions and injury management procedures. Provide information regarding transportation, facilities, and game management, ensuring ethical conduct and sportsmanship throughout. Assist in implementing athletic standards, coordinating equipment returns, and attending required MSHSAA sessions. Complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid training, fulfilling 8 contact hours of professional development including district, school, and external meetings. This seasonal role supports the Athletic Department's goal of promoting student-athlete growth and program excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of particular sport (philosophy & coaching)
- Must successfully complete the MSHSAA /NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses
- A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept
- Working knowledge of all collegiate eligibility center regulations
- Must be able to sit
