Job Summary
Provide instruction, leadership and supervision to middle school students participating in the sports program. Assist with practices emphasizing teamwork, skill development and adherence to rules; monitor academics with teachers and counselors; supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and contests; manage equipment and inventory; complete required paperwork (rosters, physicals, insurance forms, parent consent forms); assist in transportation, facilities, officials and game management; uphold high standards of sportsmanship and ethics; coordinate program activities and promote student-athlete achievements academically and athletically; pursue professional growth through clinics and publications.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Teachers Certificate or valid Substitute Certificate or Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate.
- Be a full or part-time employee in the District.
- Employed in the school as a teacher or administrator in which the candidate applies for a position.
