26-27 MHS Foreign Language Teacher, Spanish

Foreign Language Teacher, Spanish responsible for providing in-person and distance/virtual instruction in the core academic subject area. Requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements (including ESL certification). Responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans for in-person and virtual learning, planning and using appropriate instructional strategies, assessing student learning styles, collaborating with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs, coordinating with staff to set goals and monitor progress, supervising instructional aides/volunteers, and maintaining regular communication with students, parents, and district staff. The position involves classroom management, ensuring safety and compliance with district policies, and participating in professional development. Supervisory duties include supervising assigned teacher aides; physical setup may involve varying hours and possible travel within the district. The role supports both in-person and virtual delivery of instruction and adheres to district safety procedures.
