26-27 Kindergarten Teacher (Redwood)

Teach reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, health, physical education, and music to students in a classroom, utilizing the Mississippi Frameworks and Common Core. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to adapt the curriculum for individualized and small group instruction, while establishing standards of student behavior to maintain a functional learning atmosphere. Evaluate students' academic and social growth, administer standardized tests, and communicate with parents regarding progress. Supervise students during out-of-classroom activities and field lessons, and participate in Professional Learning Communities and student activity sponsorship. Maintain professional competence through in-service education and cooperate with administrators on evaluation methods.
