26-27 KGMS - Cafeteria Assistant Manager

Direct and participate in all food service operations within the assigned school, supervising cafeteria workers and performing duties in the manager's absence. Assist in preparing and serving meals that meet nutritional needs while overseeing food preparation to ensure proper temperature, palatability, and appearance. Promote educational aspects of the program to students, teachers, and the community, and work with the manager on purchasing and delivery accuracy. Instruct employees on equipment use and maintain high sanitary and safety standards throughout preparation, serving, and storage. Prepare and maintain food service records as directed. This 183-day, 7-hour daily position requires ServSafe certification, high school diploma, and experience in large capacity food service.
