Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the district. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC systems; install new HVAC systems and components; relocate and expand existing systems; fabricate, assemble, and install duct work and piping per code; perform preventive maintenance and air quality testing; manage materials, time and labor records, and respond to emergency calls. Requires ability to read blueprints/diagrams/schematics, use hand/power tools, and operate safely; must have a high school diploma or GED and a Texas driver’s license. Knowledge of EMS and HVAC control systems, and the ability to calculate materials and costs is essential. Must be willing to work in varied environments and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Clear and valid Texas driver’s license
- Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
- Knowledge of EMS and HVAC Control Systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Experience in HVAC field
