Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Duties include teaching high school social studies, coaching, and meeting state requirements: Bachelor's degree, Texas teaching certificate with endorsements, and intern certification within one year. Emphasizes engaging students by capitalizing on their interests, strong organizational/communication/interpersonal skills, knowledge of curriculum and instruction, and using information about individual students to tailor learning. Classroom teacher responsibilities align with 187 contract days and teacher pay scale.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- Letter of Acceptance from Educator Prep Program and Ability to Obtain Intern Certification Within One Year for Subject and Level Assigned
