Job Summary
Head Girls Soccer Coach responsible for instruction, leadership, and supervision of a high school soccer program. Responsibilities include conducting practices emphasizing teamwork, skill development, learning rules and strategies, and student-athlete improvement; academic monitoring with teachers and counselors; supervising student-athletes before, during, and after practices and contests; managing equipment and inventory; modeling high standards of sportsmanship; completing paperwork (rosters, physicals, insurance, parent consent forms); collaborating with the Principal to provide a solid program; pursuing professional growth through clinics and publications; overseeing player development, fundraising, internal and external promotion of soccer, and supervising an assistant coach; and maintaining full responsibility for all aspects of the program.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a four-year college degree and be contracted by the KCMSD Board of Education for the school year as a full or part time teacher or 1-3 years of coaching experience.
- Knowledge of particular sport (philosophy & coaching)
- Must successfully complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses.
- A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept and working knowledge of all collegiate eligibility center regulations.
