Job Summary
Conduct practices emphasizing teamwork, skill development, and strategy while supervising student-athletes before, during, and after all events. Engage in academic monitoring with staff to ensure attendance in study halls and promote student accomplishments both academically and athletically. Manage equipment inventory, submit facility documentation, and oversee assistant coaches while handling required paperwork including rosters and consent forms. Lead the program ethically, model high standards of sportsmanship, and collaborate with the Principal to drive fundraising and internal promotion. Complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid training. Maintain full responsibility for all aspects of the high school girls soccer program.
Required Qualifications
- four-year college degree
- contracted by the KCMSD Board of Education for the school year as a full or part time teacher
- 1-3 years of coaching experience
- Knowledge of particular sport (philosophy & coaching)
- successfully complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course
- Sports First Aid Courses
- strong commitment to the student-athlete concept
- working knowledge of all collegiate eligibility center regulations
- able to sit

- able to reach with hands and fingers
- able to bend
- able to stoop
- able to lift objects of at least 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
