Job Summary
Provide individual, group, and project-based learning instruction for grades K-4, utilizing Functional Behavioral Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plans to support scholars with special needs. Deliver Individualized Education Plans and lead co-teaching, case management, and intervention techniques while fostering an inclusive, equitable classroom environment. Engage families as partners in scholar success and attend mandatory professional development and family meet-and-greets. Participate in departmental meetings and whole-school professional growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree
- Appropriate Rhode Island teacher certification by date of hire
- Proficiency or awareness in the knowledge and practices of the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy through completion of a RIDE approved program or Rhode Island educator preparation program
- CPI certification
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in a diverse public school setting
