26-27 ECSE Paraprofessional

Paraprofessional - ECSE position at Anderson Elementary School. Assists the classroom teacher in providing for an appropriate educational process and environment for each student, supports students with academic subjects and social skill development, and helps with non-academic tasks. Participates in in-service training, handles clerical duties as directed, records information, and supports instructional materials and student assessments. Reports to the classroom teacher, building principal, and district administrator. Employment term is 9 months. Qualifications include a High School Diploma and sixty college hours or MEGA test. Responsibilities include supervising students during meals, recess, field trips, and bus loading/unloading; assisting with learning self-help and hygienic skills; reinforcing learning in small groups; observing and recording student behavior; and contributing to classroom scheduling and preparation as directed by the teacher.
