Job Summary
Exceptional Children's Case Teacher responsible for coordinating EC referrals and data management, conducting IEP-related meetings, coordinating with related service personnel and school staff, ensuring compliance with IEP timelines and documentation, managing referral packets and evaluation processes, scheduling and leading IEP meetings, preparing and maintaining IEP drafts and milestones, and maintaining accurate EC data and records while supporting transition planning and program quality.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree
- License in area of Special Education
- Three or more years experience as an EC teacher (preferred)
- Special education law knowledge
- Strong writing and speaking skills
- Understanding of instructional implications of test data
- Exemplary leadership and interpersonal skills
- Exemplary organizational skills
- Computer/typing skills
- Official transcripts and NC Teaching License in EC area (not Initial or Residency)
