Assist the teacher with planning, organizing, and evaluating instructional activities, preparing materials, and presenting activities as directed. Support the student to increase confidence, self-esteem, and independence while attending to physical and personal care needs, including feeding, hygiene, and transfers. Help students who have difficulty communicating and support them in social activities throughout the school program. Maintain confidentiality, participate in staff development, and serve as a positive role model for children, parents, and professionals. Perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, lifting, and running to maintain safety and instructional coverage. Provide CPR/First Aid when necessary and demonstrate respect for all backgrounds.
