Job Summary
Assist teachers in the teaching-learning process by providing academic and instructional support to students; perform proctoring during testing, organize materials, prepare visual aids, and help maintain classroom order. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting student behavior, entering health/attendance data, and supporting route operations with CDL-driven bus duties when required. Requires obtaining and maintaining a CDL bus license, reliable communication with parents and staff, and adherence to local/state safety and traffic regulations. Emphasizes teamwork, care, respect, integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement in a school environment.
Required Qualifications

- CDL Bus license (or ability to obtain)
- Background check
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Must obtain and maintain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) when requested for driving a school bus
- Strong knowledge of methods for working with children
- Ability to solve minor problems and follow detailed written and oral instructions
- Completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections for bus operation
- Drive a bus when called upon, maintain driving proficiency
- Enforce student discipline and safety in transit and classroom settings
- Attend workshops and participate in proctoring/testing duties
