Job Summary
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials meeting district curriculum goals and state standards. Translate these plans into learning experiences while establishing behavioral standards to ensure a functional classroom atmosphere. Evaluate pupil academic and social growth, maintain records, and communicate progress with parents through conferences. Identify individual needs and collaborate with staff to address health, attitude, and learning problems. Create effective learning environments using displays and bulletin boards. Maintain professional competence through inservice education and self-selected growth activities. Select instructional aids, manage inventory, and supervise out-of-classroom activities. Administer standardized tests and participate in curriculum development and faculty committees.
Required Qualifications
- Credentials, as required by the State of Oklahoma
- Ability to stand, walk, squat frequently
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently
- Ability to do outside duties in inclement weather
- Ability to walk or move long distances from location to location around the building multiple times each day
