Job Summary
Conduct recurring cleaning tasks in school buildings including sweeping, mopping, waxing, window washing, and restroom maintenance. Manage bus operations by obtaining and maintaining a CDL license, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and driving authorized students to designated stops while adhering to traffic regulations. Maintain campus grounds through grass cutting, edging walkways, and shrubbery care. Report damages, accidents, or undisciplined students to administration and attend scheduled training activities to improve job efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work effectively with other people
- Ability to read and write
- General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties
- Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license
- Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Applicants must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested for purposes of driving a school bus
- Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required
- Must be able to perform medium/heavy lifting exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or to 25 pounds of force constantly to move object
- Must be able to climb ladder and be capable of traveling through needed crawlspace area
