Job Summary
Custodian I (12 months) in a school setting performing cleaning and maintenance tasks under supervision. Duties include heavier cleaning such as stripping, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and spray buffing; moving furniture and supplies; washing windows and cleaning fixtures; restroom upkeep and replenishment; litter removal and general sanitation; reporting damages; basic grounds work including grass cutting and edging; attending training to improve performance. Requires ability to understand and follow instructions, work with others, read/write, knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment, and CDL bus license with capacity to drive when needed; physical ability for lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing ladders, and travel to needed areas; background check and NC CDL/CDL-endorsement readiness as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.
- Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required.
- Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
- Applicants must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested for purposes of driving a school bus.
