Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance in school buildings, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, window washing, and restroom upkeep. Manage grass cutting, edging walkways, and shrubbery care on the campus. Perform bus-related duties by obtaining and maintaining a CDL license, completing pre- and post-trip inspections, driving authorized students to stops, and maintaining route schedules. Report damages, accidents, or disciplinary issues to administration. Attend scheduled seminars and training activities to improve job efficiency and skills. Maintain a team player approach while adhering to all safety regulations and organizational core values.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work effectively with other people
- Ability to read and write
- General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties
- Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license
- Must be able to perform medium/heavy lifting exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or to 25 pounds of force constantly to move object
- Must be able to climb ladder and be capable of traveling through needed crawlspace area
- Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required
- Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Applicants must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested for purposes of driving a school bus
