Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in school buildings, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, window washing, and restroom upkeep. Manage school bus operations by performing pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining route schedules, and transporting authorized students while adhering to traffic and safety regulations. Report damages, accidents, or disciplinary issues to supervisors and attend scheduled training to improve job efficiency. Maintain a clean campus by cutting grass, edging walkways, and caring for shrubbery. Obtain and hold a valid CDL bus license.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work effectively with other people
- Ability to read and write
- General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties
- Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license
- Must be able to perform medium/heavy lifting exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or to 25 pounds of force constantly to move object
- Must be able to climb ladder and be capable of traveling through needed crawlspace area
- Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required
- Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Applicants must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested for purposes of driving a school bus
