Job Summary
Perform recurring cleaning tasks in school buildings including sweeping, mopping, waxing, window washing, and restroom maintenance. Manage grass cutting, edging, and grounds care while maintaining building sanitation and reporting damages. Drive a school bus when called upon, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, adhering to route schedules, and ensuring student safety at authorized stops. Complete required training activities and seminars to improve job efficiency and skills.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work effectively with other people
- Ability to read and write
- General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties
- Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license
- Must be able to perform medium/heavy lifting exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or to 25 pounds of force constantly to move object
- Must be able to climb ladder and be capable of traveling through needed crawlspace area
- Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required
- Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Applicants must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested for purposes of driving a school bus
