Job Summary
Custodian I (10 months) in Hope Mills, NC, responsible for routine cleaning tasks in school buildings under direct supervision, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, dusting, window and fixture cleaning, restrooms replenishment, and light bulb maintenance. Must obtain and maintain a CDL bus license and drive a bus when called upon. Performs related duties such as cleaning sidewalks/grounds, grass cutting, and following established schedules. Attends seminars and completes required training; reports to supervisor and maintains cleanliness standards. Requires physical strength for lifting and climbing, background check, and possession of a valid NC driver’s license; CDL may be required for driving a school bus.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Bus license (required to drive a bus when called upon)
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested for purposes of driving a school bus
- Background check with local and state law enforcement
- Ability to perform medium/heavy lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Experience or ability in cleaning methods and equipment
- Ability to read/write and follow instructions
- Team player and ability to work with others
- Willingness to attend trainings and seminars
- Transportation-related safety and regulatory compliance
