Job Summary

Coordinate and deliver continuing education programs across in-person, virtual, and online formats by identifying learning needs, developing content structures, and managing end-to-end logistics including presenter sourcing, registration, and evaluation. Lead program execution from concept through delivery while ensuring alignment with APEGA standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational learning strategies. Maintain accurate learning materials and resources using learning management systems to support diverse participant experiences. This role supports the Continuing Education Manager within APEGA's Experience & Engagement department, contributing to the organization's mission of regulating engineering and geoscience practices in Alberta since 1920.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary experience in a related field (e.g., education, communications, adult learning)
  • 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, education delivery, or related roles
  • Experience coordinating learning programs, events, or stakeholder-based initiatives
  • Experience working with learning management systems, registration platforms, or similar tools
  • Knowledge of continuing education, adult learning, or professional development practices
  • Understanding of stakeholder and participant engagement principles
  • Knowledge of APEGA programs and regulatory context (or ability to learn)
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), registration systems, and program delivery tools
  • Knowledge of internal processes and systems supporting program coordination
  • Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to plan and deliver programs or initiatives from concept through execution
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills across multiple priorities and timelines
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently within defined frameworks and processes
  • Strong customer service orientation and professionalism
  • Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and program delivery tools

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with instructional design, course mapping and/or building courses in Articulate Rise
  • Knowledge of online educational principals
