26-27 Behavior Coach - 6 hrs (Transportation)

Develop transportation behavior plans collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents while de-escalating and redirecting students through encouragement and reinforcement of safe riding expectations. Adapt to changing behaviors to meet individual student needs, interact positively with students, and model appropriate conduct. Serve as a mentor to transportation staff in student management practices and assist in planning and executing The Peaceful Bus Program. Check buses before and after each route for students and articles, know the route, and assist drivers in emergencies or evacuations. Escort students across the street as needed, assist with moving wheelchairs and other devices, and monitor student behavior to ensure appropriate conduct while being aware of medical needs. Work 6 hours daily for 188 days during the 2023-2024 school year.
