26-27 Band Director

Band Director responsible for leading the music program at Jefferson City High School. Responsibilities include participating in curriculum review and design; implementing a variety of effective instructional strategies aligned with lesson objectives; diagnosing and evaluating student abilities and progress; monitoring progress and adjusting instruction; planning a program of study to meet individual student needs; creating a conducive classroom environment; assessing student learning and providing progress reports; referring students for district-provided services (ESL, Reading, Special Reading) as needed; implementing district initiatives; collaborating with department and grade-level teachers; adhering to state statutes, policies, and regulations; attending meetings; maintaining accurate records; serving on committees; staying current on instructional practices (including instructional technology).
