Job Summary
Support classroom teachers with instructional strategies, conduct small group activities, and assist students in resource, self-contained, and regular settings. Provide direct support for individualized education plans, behavior management, and personal hygiene needs while facilitating technology use and student assessments. Manage classroom housekeeping, prepare instructional materials, and supervise students during school-wide activities and bus monitoring. Assist with routine recordkeeping, equipment inventory, and loading/unloading buses. Perform other duties as assigned to meet unique student population needs.
Required Qualifications
- Education level in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines
- Certification as mandated by the Professional Standards Commission
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Passing of the GACE Ethics Assessment
- Passing of the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment
- Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
- Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner
