Job Summary
Coordinate the Lincoln Middle School track and field program in compliance with MSHSAA standards, assisting in supervision of students during practices and contests. Organize regular practice schedules and manage transportation, facilities, and game logistics while emphasizing safety and injury prevention. Conduct teams ethically, exemplifying high sportsmanship standards, and assist in systematic equipment returns per department handbook. Complete required MSHSAA/NFHS coaching principles and Sports First Aid courses, plus 8 hours of annual professional development. This seasonal role supports the Athletic Director in developing student-athlete potential and aligning program excellence with district goals.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of particular sport (philosophy & coaching)
- Must successfully complete the MSHSAA /NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses
- A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept and working knowledge of all collegiate eligibility center regulations
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift objects of at least 25 pounds
- Must successfully complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses
- Must fulfill 8 contact hours of professional development
