Job Summary
Paraprofessional/Teaching Assistant at Milwaukee Academy of Science supporting 4th-grade students under the supervision of the classroom teacher. Responsibilities include assisting with assignments, assisting with classroom management and clerical tasks, supporting computer technology and assistive technology, preparing classroom displays, tutoring students one-on-one or in small groups, assisting with the integration of special education students, participating in school teams for curriculum development and data analysis, and pursuing professional growth through staff development opportunities. Reports to the Building Principal and collaborates with classroom and resource teachers, student service personnel, district coordinators, program support teachers, staff, parents and families.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree
- Preferred Advanced Associate Degree or 60 credits from a District Approved College or University
