26-27 2nd-grade Teaching Assistant

Paraprofessional/Teaching Assistant for a 2nd-grade classroom at Milwaukee Academy of Science working under the direction of the classroom teacher. Responsibilities include assisting children with assignments, aiding classroom management, supporting technology use, tutoring students one-on-one or in small groups, assisting with integration of special education students, preparing classroom displays, correcting student work, participating in data analysis and curriculum development teams, and maintaining confidentiality while collaborating with supervisors and colleagues. The position is a 10-month, full-time contract with 198 days for first-year staff (195 days for returning staff). Reports to the Building Principal and coordinates with teachers, student services personnel, coordinators, and families.
