Job Summary
Create a positive classroom environment for approximately 26 students in a self-contained K-2 setting, delivering English Language Arts and Math instruction. Implement curriculum, assess students, and collaborate with your team while building relationships with families. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, with occasional meetings or events outside these hours. Join a network of schools educating 3,000+ students across four locations in Jacksonville, Florida, to prepare students for college, career, and beyond.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification in one of the following areas: K-6 Elementary or PK-3 Elementary
- At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
- Possesses a deep commitment to creating an inclusive, healthy, and empowering community for our students
- Passing a background check, as required by law
- In accordance with Florida House Bill 531, this position requires a background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
Desired Qualifications
- Florida Reading Endorsement (or reading competency coursework in progress) if teaching English Language Arts
- ESOL Endorsement (or competency coursework in progress)
- Two or more years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom in a relevant grade level
