26-2051 Resident Technician CSDD/Greencrest

Under the supervision of the Residential Services Coordinator for Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled, assists in the personal care and treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in residential or supported independent living settings. Responsibilities include implementing skill acquisition, understanding stages of change and substance use disorders as they relate to each individual’s plan of service, supporting residents to be as independent as possible, serving as a resource and referral, training and assisting residents in daily living skills (medication management, personal care, communication, cleaning, meal prep, laundry), de-escalation, maintaining required documentation, and facilitating participation in community activities. Attends mandatory team meetings and in-service trainings. Must have high school diploma or GED, obtain and maintain Group Home Skill Training certification, ability to understand written instructions and communicate effectively, read and follow medication charts, be physically able to lift 40 lbs, and hold a valid Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation. Pre-employment requirements include criminal background check (including fingerprinting), physical exam, and driving record verification, plus pre-employment drug screen. Salary: $20.51 per hour. Schedule includes rotating evenings/weekends; location: Lansing, MI.
