Job Summary
Operate a van under the general supervision of the Charter House Coordinator, picking up program participants and delivering them to program sites before returning them to their homes. Transport participants to special activities at the direction of the supervisor or facilitator while ensuring all program and sub-unit activities fulfill CMHA-CEI's mission, policies, and procedures. Requires a valid Michigan driver's license, three months of driving experience, and a clean driving record contingent upon state police clearance and drug screening. Works 0-19 hours per week in a relief capacity across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays at Adult Mental Health Services/Charter House in Lansing, Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of three months work experience with driving responsibilities
- Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally
- Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license
- Access to reliable means of transportation for job-related use
- Pass Michigan State Police clearance check
- Verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Availability for shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
