Job Summary
The Kindergarten Teacher provides learning experiences in language arts, social studies, pre-reading, arithmetic, science, art, physical education, and music to students, guided by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district standards and requirements. Duties include evaluating instructional approaches, refining strategies with effective use of technologies, promoting equitable opportunities, maintaining professional competence through professional development and self-generated activities, sharing responsibility for grade/team/department goals, attending faculty and district meetings, and serving on district-wide committees.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure in assigned grade by the Massachusetts Department of Education, to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement
- Meets all Massachusetts Department of Education standards for Highly Qualified Teacher
- Bachelor's Degree
