Job Summary
Provide Community Living Supports and Respite Care for youth with serious emotional disturbance in family homes and the tri-county community. Assist with activities of daily living, communication, socialization, and leisure participation using modeling, teaching, and structured routines. Transport youth consumers in your personal vehicle within the tri-county area. Complete necessary documentation, maintain accurate records using basic computer software, and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Work 0-19 hours per week with a minimum expected availability of 10 hours, including afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. Salary is $17.62 per hour with shift incentives for evening and weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D.
- A minimum of six months' experience with emotionally impaired children and families
- Expectation of a varied schedule to include afternoon, evening, and weekend hours
- Person must be able to work cooperatively with others
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to re-certify in CPR/First Aide each year following employment
- Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license
- Access to reliable transportation for job related use
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
