Job Summary
Provide crisis intervention and mental health/substance abuse services within a multidisciplinary crisis-oriented team. Coordinate services for consumers, connect to community resources, and may perform case management, brief crisis intervention planning, and outreach. Maintain detailed program documentation in line with CMHA-CEI policies and exhibit effective verbal and written communication, computer proficiency, and reliable transportation; position located in Lansing, MI with full-time hours and three 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, or related field is required
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in the area of assignment
- Possession of Handle with Care Behavior Management techniques
- Ability to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form
- Ability to operate a computer
- Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license (may be required)
- Access to reliable transportation for job-related use
- Background verification and credentialing requirements including Michigan State Police clearance check, Medicaid/Medicare verification, driving record verification, educational background check, and work history verification
- Pre-employment drug screen
