Job Summary
Network Security Engineer to support technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, risk analysis, and operational support for complex enterprise systems. Role includes lifecycle activities from concept development through disposal, collaborating across engineering, operations, and program management in a hybrid Beltsville, MD environment (2-3 days/week onsite at a customer facility). Requires translating customer requirements into scalable, secure system solutions while balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints; candidates should have strong analytical/technical skills and be able to work in dynamic environments with evolving priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical field
- CASP+ CE, CCNA Security, CISSP (or Associate of CISSP), CND, CSSLP, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP
- 5+ Years of hands-on experience with systems engineering lifecycle
- 3+ year of experience with Network Detection & Response (NDR) tools
- Active Secret clearance (or higher)
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Public Trust (HRPT) clearance)
