Job Summary
Prepare teaching materials and reports to implement lesson plans and document student progress while monitoring activities to ensure a safe learning environment. Provide clear instruction using varied strategies to meet diverse student needs, assess progress through classroom-based evaluations, and communicate regularly with parents regarding goals and improvements. Collaborate with staff, parents, and community agencies to improve outcomes, direct instructional assistants, and establish behavioral standards for an orderly classroom. Report incidents of abuse or substance use to maintain safety and comply with district policies. Maintain consistent presence during the 7.5-hour daily schedule from August 31 to March 1.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Teacher certificate with Elementary Education endorsement
- Experience and/or knowledge of Common Core Standards
- Successful teaching experience at appropriate grade level
- Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance
- Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later)
- I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control ACT
- Completion of all district-required training within thirty (30) calendar days from hire date
