Job Summary
This role supports students, families, and staff by building relationships, identifying family strengths and goals, coordinating services and linking families to community resources, and facilitating parent involvement activities. Duties include conducting home visits, participating in Family Nights, attending district trainings in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices, and collaborating with school staff to inform family support plans and district improvement actions related to family/community engagement, attendance and discipline. Key capabilities include organization, time management, effective verbal and written communication, cultural sensitivity, and knowledge of safety procedures and community resources.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or higher degree with equivalent of 30 college quarter credits in adult education, human development, human services, family support, social work, early childhood education, child development, psychology, or related field
- High school diploma OR high school transcript evidencing graduation date OR proof of GED
- 1st Aid & Adult/Child CPR training
- Bloodborne Pathogen Training
- Valid Washington State Driver’s license
- I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with IRCA
- Completion of district-required training within 30 calendar days from hire date
