Job Summary
Conduct capital market research, analyze economic indices, and manage corporate cash, foreign exchange, and debt programs. Execute financial transactions in bond, money, and foreign exchange markets while negotiating financing terms for leasing, export credit, and capital expansion projects. Prepare analytical data, SQL database reports, and Power BI templates for stakeholder presentations and legislative hearings. Maintain liaison with OPG departments, external organizations, and financial experts to secure advantageous terms for OPG interests.
Required Qualifications
- knowledge of economics, business policy, financial accounting, and financial markets and investment analysis
- Solid understanding of SQL databases
- Solid understanding of Power BI
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced spreadsheeting and modelling
- knowledge of business finance and principles of investment and administration
- knowledge of computer simulations, mathematical modelling, cash management concepts, theories and techniques
- 4 years of university
- experience in the financial/investment/ economics field
- experience negotiating new market issues financing arrangements and buying/selling securities
- experience on the job to become familiar with the magnitude and objectives of OPG investments, borrowing/lending policy, organization and operation of associated work groups and the standard practices, policies and facilities
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python or Visual Basic
