Job Summary
The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting in operational and merchandising functions within the store during shifts, focusing on driving sales, providing excellent customer service, managing merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. Key responsibilities include achieving personal and store goals, scheduling events, educating customers on products, and supporting marketing initiatives. Required skills include retail experience, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in retail math and POS systems. This position requires the capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6–12 months prior retail experience
- High level of initiative and accountability
- Proven ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the business
- Ability to lift 30 lbs, pushing, pulling, bending and stretching frequently
- Stand for periods of 8 – 10 hours a day
- Work a flexible schedule to include some holidays, most weekends and/or late evenings
